Breads

Button Bakery specializes in breads. We bake our breads fresh daily and pride ourselves on our quality and variety. Our sourdough undergoes a two-day fermentation process. Many of our breads include a sour culture component, including the rye bread. We price our breads to keep them affordable for everyday consumption.

Everyday Bread: Sourdough, Mainstreet Multigrain, Cranberry Walnut, 100% Whole Wheat, Cinnamon Raisin, French, French Baguette, English Muffins, Ciabatta Bread, Ciabatta buns and Pretzels

Tuesday Breads: Pumpernickel Rye and Seeded Seven Grain

Wednesday Breads: Polish Rye and Parmesan Bread

Thursday Breads: Kalamata Olive, Pumpernickel Rye and Sesame Semolina

Friday Breads: Challah, Polish Rye and Italian Rosemary

Saturdays Breads: Jalapeño Cheddar, Bunduki, Pumpernickel Rye, Vienna & Hard Rolls

Other breads available by Special Order: Hamburger Buns, Hot Dog Buns and Rainbow Bread

Oran Rankin is a career bread baker who finds magic in the quiet early morning hours, working with natural sourdough culture to transform flour and water into nourishing bread. He taps into the deep traditions of the craft, from fermentation through scoring and baking loaves on stone oven decks. Together with his wife Sara, Oran strives to make Button Bakery an important part of Evanston.
